Naas General Hospital advises patients with non-emergency issues not to attend A&E due to ‘long wait times’

Management at Naas General Hospital have asked patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance elsewhere due to the high number of people presenting to the emergency department with flu and RSV.
In a statement issued this afternoon, hospital management said some patients are experiencing long wait times and have advised those who do not need emergency care to seek assistance from other parts of the health service “where possible”.
“Naas General Hospital (NGH) is experiencing a high number of patients presenting to the Emergency Department with flu and RSV. Some patients are experiencing long wait times to be seen,” said the hospital.
“Where possible, the management at Naas General Hospital is asking patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service.”
