A woman has today been arrested on suspicion of the murder of missing eight-year-old boy Kyran Durnin.
Gardaí investigating the disappearance and murder of Kyran arrested a female on suspicion of his murder.
The woman is being detained under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the East of the Country.
Kyran, who would now be aged eight, was reported missing in late August. Gardaí upgraded their investigation to murder in October in the belief he was killed two years ago.
A significant challenge in the investigation is establishing a firm date for the last sighting of the boy.
