From Star the puppy to Saoírse’s star – five of the Late Late Toy Show 2024’s best moments
Here are five of the best moments from last night’s festivities:
Star the puppy
It is often the kids and sometimes the host that capture our imaginations on Toy Show night but it’s safe to say Star the puppy stole the show and our hearts this year.
It had everything you could want out of a good Toy Show moment. Patrick welcoming Star into his arms was perhaps the most wholesome moment of the night and it was all for a good cause with the pup in training with Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, one of the beneficiaries of the Toy Show Appeal.
As if things couldn’t get any better, Star then “told” Patrick the first Toy Show Appeal total – €1,225,000. The final figure topped €4m.
The surprise appearances
No good Toy Show would be complete without the kids being treated to a surprise meeting with one of their heroes and this year’s edition was absolutely chock-full of them.
First we had Dory from Tallaght meeting Dublin singer Jazzy, then astronauts Zara and Cillian were greeted…
