Gardaí launch murder investigation after man (60s) dies in Finglas house attack
A man, aged in his sixties, has died following an attack at a house in Finglas last night.
Gardaí have now launched a murder investigation.
Gardaí report that shortly before 12:30am, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of an assault outside a residence on Dunsink Green, Finglas. A man in his 60s was treated at the scene and subsequently pronounced deceased at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
The scene has been preserved pending the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau.
“The Coroner has been notified and the Garda Technical Bureau and Office of the State Pathologist have been requested to assist in the investigation. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled,” gardaí said in a statement.
