Man and woman arrested following discovery of body in Gorey, Co Wexford in July

The man, aged in his 50s, and a woman, aged in her 40s, are being held at Garda stations in the Co Wexford area.

The body of the man in his 40s was discovered shortly before midday on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at a residence in the Clonattin area of Wexford.

The investigation is currently being led by a Senior Investigation Officer.

Gardaí say they are investigating “all the circumstances” around the discovery of the body.

“The man and woman were arrested for alleged offences contrary to Section 7(2) of the Criminal Law Act, 1997,” a Garda spokesperson said.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
