Whisper it… the P-word might yet lie in wait for the Government parties this election, and particularly for Fine Gael.

The P of course stands for pensions. Last time out, in the 2020 contest, there was a huge row over the State retirement age. The Government managed to move it from 65 to 66, but could go no further.
